Partners in Process
Prodigals International provides a multi-option program for women searching for healing from betrayal trauma, caused by the startling discovery of their husband’s/boyfriend’s pornography addiction or another form of sexual brokenness (affairs, chat rooms, etc.). We call our program Partners in Process, which describes the mutual support women experience as they travel this healing journey together. Our program includes five components, detailed below. Each woman chooses the option(s) at her discretion and need.
Prodigals is the only non-profit Christian 12-step program specifically for sexual brokenness and betrayal trauma. As such, our women’s groups embrace a Christ-centered 12-step curriculum designed to facilitate healing from betrayal trauma. Our group facilitators are mentors who provide a safe place for healing and restoration and strive to ensure women know they DID NOT CAUSE their partner’s behavior. All groups are led by women who have been through our program and keenly understand this healing process. There is no formal ‘end date’ to our groups; women are welcome to attend for as long as needed. We currently have both in-person and online groups meeting weekly. There’s no need to schedule a drop-in, but we welcome and encourage reaching out to group leaders via our group directory. FOR OUR ONLINE GROUPS, please contact leaders to obtain the meeting Zoom link. The only associated cost to participate in a group is for our Partner’s in Process Mentee Workbook.

Choosing to engage with a Partners in Process Mentor significantly enhances the healing process. This is not surprising, as God intended for us to live in an authentic community. Our Partners in Process Mentors are women who’ve found restoration in our program and now want to help other women heal their wounds, reclaim their voice, and find their path forward. You are God’s daughter, and our Mentors desire to help you embrace God’s unlimited love for you. There is no additional financial cost to engage with a PiP Mentor. Interested women simply make the request with their group leader to get connected.
In Partners in Process, those further along have symbolically held our hands, embodying Jesus with skin on.
In Partners in Process we learn how to find our identity in Christ and remember who God says we are as His children.
The Partners in Process leaders have loved us, heard our heartbreak, and helped us piece together a new, empowered story.
The Partners in Process leaders are a true blessing, guiding us through betrayal trauma with wisdom, love, and Christ-centered truth.
In Partners in Process, I found healing, empowerment, and the courage to rebuild my life.
One-on-One Coaching
For women needing a framework for deeper healing work, Prodigals Senior Program Director, Karen Crawford, provides 1-on-1 coaching to women experiencing betrayal trauma, and also coaching for couples navigating recovery. She is a certified coach with training through the International Coaching Federation (ICF), the industry benchmark in professional coaching, and a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) through the Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS). Coaching can be an excellent option for women needing a more intensive process to unpack and untangle challenges with boundaries, uncover inherited family dysfunction patterns, and rediscover passions and purpose. Coaching is fee-based.

The leader’s understanding and advice have been life-changing for me and the other women in all phases of betrayal, hurt, and shame.
Through the Brave Warriors group, we’ve become empowered to set boundaries and make healthy choices about our relationships.
The Brave Warriors leader is a God-sent angel who walks with us through a story we never wanted to live.
As a betrayed partner who is nearly a year beyond my Brave Warriors experience, I look back now and wonder where I’d be had I never been referred to Karen Crawford. Brave Warriors – and I believe God used Karen in particular – was a lifeline during a time when I truly had, for the very first time in my adult life, no idea what my future would look like. The weekly coaching/counseling I received from Karen was essential and what God used to pour into me when I didn’t even know what I needed. She listened to (and related to) my pain. She walked me through a recovery process that was grounded in the Word of God. She became my friend.

Prodigals board of directors and senior staff made the difficult decision to suspend this conference (and the Men’s Higher Ground Conference) in 2024 to focus resources on the critical need to strengthen and buildout capacity for our 12-step groups. We encourage women to sign up for Prodigals newsletter (see web home page for subscribe option) for the latest updates on our conferences’ status and additional resources.
