Book Recommendation:
Redeeming the Post-Affair Divorce, by Linda J. MacDonald, M.S.

by Karen Crawford, ACC, CPC
Senior Program Director, Prodigals International

This month, I have the privilege of sharing a special book with you. I was honored to be part of Linda MacDonald’s launch team and had the joy of reading a pre-release copy of her newest work, Redeeming the Post-Affair Divorce. Having known Linda personally for many years, I can wholeheartedly say that her words carry both deep compassion and practical wisdom. It is a gift to commend her book to those who are walking through the painful reality of unwanted divorce after betrayal.

I first became acquainted with Linda in 2000 by name as an infidelity counselor, but it wasn’t until 2008 that I had the privilege of meeting her in person when she spoke at Prodigals’ Restoring Hearts Women’s Conference. Over the years, our paths have crossed in meaningful ways, including the joy of co-presenting with her in 2018 on the topics of our shared passion of forgiveness and trust. Linda has become not only a respected colleague but also a dear friend, and it is a joy to endorse and recommend her newest book.

Prodigals recommendation: Redeeming the Post-Affair Divorce

Redeeming the Post-Affair Divorce, is a powerful companion for those walking through the pain of an unwanted divorce after infidelity. With wisdom, gentleness, and honesty, Linda guides the reader through one of life’s most devastating experiences and points them toward hope and restoration.

What makes this book especially impactful is the way Linda weaves scripture throughout her writing. Each chapter is infused with biblical truth that not only comforts but also equips readers to rediscover who they are in Christ and embrace His redemptive plan for their lives. Rather than leaving the reader in despair, Linda’s words continually draw attention to God’s promise of renewal and the possibility of becoming all He created them to be.

Experiencing a divorce after betrayal feels like the end of everything once known and trusted. Yet Linda reminds us that God is the God of new beginnings, that He can redeem even what feels irreparably broken. This book offers both spiritual encouragement and practical guidance for walking forward in strength and faith.

For anyone navigating the aftermath of an unwanted divorce due to infidelity, this book is a compassionate guide and a beacon of hope. Linda MacDonald writes with the empathy of one who understands, and with the conviction of one who knows God’s healing is real.

Redeeming the Post-Affair Divorce is available in hard back on Amazon.com, with paperback and Kindle available soon.
